Jonathan Dykhuizen, RLA, ASLA, LEED AP
Principal
Jon is the owner and principal founding DDG Landscape Architects, Inc. after 15 years of experience in the public and private sectors on the west coast, eastern United States, and abroad. He is a registered landscape architect in the states of California and Oregon, a LEED Accredited Professional, and a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Jon earned a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of California, Davis.
Jon’s interest and experience reflects a design-oriented approach with a sensitivity to the sustainable interface of regional context, ecologies, and the built environment in which we live. His body of work spans a range of project scales including site master plan & visioning, community parks, educational institutions, urban design, corporate campus design, mixed-use redevelopment, housing, trails, and private garden estates.
Before establishing his own firm, Jon worked at Mayer/Reed in Portland, Oregon, implementing sustainable projects and green infrastructure in complex urban contexts in the Pacific Northwest. Prior to that, he worked at Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects in Charlottesville, Virginia, and RHAA in Mill Valley, California.
